Poor pooped puppy!

On Saturday my dear husband joined with some co-workers to run in the USMC Mud Run in pinnacle.  It was a beautiful morning but quickly got hot!  we decided to take Arnold with us and, poor guy, he was pooped by the time we left!  We arrived around 7:30 to watch some friends run in the individual race before the team events....

Sorry to tease you with that title, but we'll have to wait 16 more days to know what Baby D is!  We did go to the OB today and I had the greatest hopes of convincing him that I needed an ultrasound, but apparently when you schedule your appointment at the end of the day, everyone is just ready to get home for dinner....:(  I had some slight concerns for the last few days (I'll spare you the details, we'll just say "abnormalities" that no pregnant woman wants to experience) but the OB did an exam and everything seems to be great.  Heartbeat was still nice and strong....and VERY easy to locate!  the good news is (well, all of that was good news....the baby seems to still be healthy....but this is just more good news on TOP of all that) we have a date set for the next ultrasound and the one where we can find out the gender (as long as lil D cooperates!)  We head back on the 30th, which is only 16 days away!  that's 2 weeks sooner than I originally thought we would be finding out!  I've had many people cast their votes as to what our little one will be.  I haven't actually kept count, but it seems to be a pretty even split....what do you think?

I'll try to get the hubs to take a picture of the belly to post soon (the same belly that forced me to go shopping this weekend since I'm down to ONE pair of pants that still fit!)  Thanks for stopping by!

Our little mess is about to get a whole lot cuter!

Hello blogging world!  I've tried the whole blog thing before and it lasted all of 5 or so posts, so I'm trying again.  I'm confident that this time will be much better because we have a lot to share!  

For the last 4 months I've been extra tired, extra hungry and accumulating some extra weight around the middle.....that's right....I'm pregnant!  The hubby and I are so excited that we will be, God-willing, blessed with a precious little angel to care for sometime in November!  My due date is November 24th, Thanksgiving day, and we can't wait!  I'm right at 16 weeks right now and I'm hoping that this blog will help me keep you all updated on the pregnancy and growth of our little angel, as well be being a way for me to record all these wacky, crazy, amazing changes taking place in my body right now!  So far the pregnancy has gone superbly well, more than I could have imagined!  My biggest complaint is that I'm exhausted all day every day!  Other than that, I haven't had any nausea or sickness, no pain (except for some slight back pain), and  I haven't had major cravings or aversions to food.  I think, when we decide to have more children in the future, this pregnancy is spoiling me so far--it's been super easy!  We have been careful about spilling the beans to everyone because we have wanted to make sure that everything is going smoothly; so far so good!  We will go back to the doctor on Tuesday for our 17 week appointment and to hear the heartbeat.  I'm hoping, fingers crossed, that I *might* be able to talk the doc into an ultrasound where they *might* be able to tell what gender lil peanut is!  I'm not holding my breath though, because last time they told me it would be the next appointment (which would put us in the second week of July).  We shall see.....  :)
